Daniel Barker is a writer, photographer and artist from Western Australia.
His work explores the complex relationships that exist between people and the natural world and his love of nature has taken him on exploratory missions from the Tepuis in Venezuela to the arid desert country of Western Australia.
Dan is a keen scuba diver and his underwater photography has featured in Australian magazines and exhibitions. His photography work has also been published in academic research literature.
He is a firm believer that the relationship between people and the natural world is at its best when it is symbiotic. He argues that we have developed capabilities as a species that make us a potent influence on the natural world and he hopes that, in time, we come to see ourselves as this planet’s custodians and not merely its temporary occupants.
